My husband and I stopped by modcup to decompress after a difficult day. We had never been there but had heard amazing things about their espresso. Well the reports are true, my cup of coffee was truly an experience! I ended up ordering an exotic, which happened to taste like strawberries and dark chocolate. The barista, Chris, recommended a dash of vanilla syrup to bring out the flavors—what resulted was a perfectly balanced latte that wasn’t too sweet, each flavor note shined and nothing tasted artificial (which is no easy task). We decided to sit in the little booth that overlooked a near by park and enjoyed the music, conversation, and vibes that both Chris and Maggie provided. 10/10 would recommend, it was the best pick-me-up a person could ask for— never underestimate the power of a good cup of coffee.

If you love good coffee- this is your place. I can feel the difference in the taste of coffee. So far my favourite place to go every single morning! ❤️

You want a REAL hip coffee shop? This is it. No frills, no bs. Best cold brew of all time EVER. SERIOUSLY. It takes like melted chocolate ice cream. The canned stuff they sell is the same and its fantastic. Lattes and Matcha are on point too. Baristas are actual people and are hilarious and so good at what they do. Hands down my favorite coffee shop of all time. Truly the gem of the Heights with Riverview Park just across the street.

Came here while visiting from out of state. Modcup came highly recommended from multiple people and it did not disappoint. The Kyoto ice drip was the best cold coffee I have ever had. We came here 4 times during our short visit to try other stuff since it was so good. I had the Kyoto ice drip, a regular hot black, og cold brew, and an iced black exotic. Stoked they have a website to order beans from. Can’t wait to order some Da Funk and Sunburst beans. Now I also have to get an ice drip tower in my arsenal.

Really enjoyed the service and the appearance was warm and inviting. There are a lot of combinations and ways to enjoy your Java. Great amount of merchandise, from ground beans to shirts and totes. The outdoor bench and table is very relaxing and a great way enjoy the surroundings or catch up on a book. directly across from the Riverview Park w amazing views of Manhattan.
